Yesterday, my family and I packed up my life in Birmingham and moved me back to Auburn. This afternoon, Mom and Dad left and Emma and I are on our own again. I'm not sure about this...
I really enjoyed my life in Birmingham and was even getting to appreciate the morning drive for additional wake-up time. I won't say the same for the evening drive! Birmingham seems to have everything and so many of my friends are there or are closer to Birmingham than they are to Auburn. Even home is closer...man, I won't like my first 4 hour drive home after getting used to a 2 hour drive!
On another note, Grandaddy (yes, that's how his name is spelled--I'll explain another day) seems to be getting back to normal, at least mentally. When I visited Friday before leaving for Birmingham, he told me he thought he was in bad shape until seeing the other patients and that many of them weren't working as hard as he thought they should, so they were shortchanging themselves. He was so cute saying he worked on the weights until he just couldn't do another rep, took a short break and then got started again--now, that's my Grandaddy! :)
Emma is sleeping on the rug between my end table and coffee table. I think that's her cue for me to take her to bed. She just couldn't be any cuter!
I'll try to do better about updating now that I'm back and have internet as long as Charter decides to cooperate. Oh, no! I'm jinxed now that I wrote that--it'll be down for sure now!
Have a great week!
