Today’s weather was quite different from what we have been experiencing lately—heat and humidity or rain. It was cool this morning and remained pleasant, clear and cool all day.
Emma was a little chilly this morning and wore her little Halloween dress all day. She’s going to get some good wear out of it up until Halloween because she only had a couple of days to wear it last year. Unlike a real baby, she hasn’t outgrown her clothes!
I wanted to walk Emma this morning, but she is a creature of habit and is used to rather hurried mornings where we go in as soon as she finishes her “business”. We did walk around in the afternoon both yesterday and today. This is the first time in a while that we’ve had a sunny day to play outside and she hasn’t been panting from the sun beating down on her. She just can’t handle a lot of time outside during the heat of the summer.
I’m looking forward to a lower electricity bill since my air conditioning hasn’t run all day (yay!), but I know it won’t be long until I need to turn on some heat, at least overnight. I am really glad that Emma seems to like to cuddle more when the temperature is just a few degrees lower! :)
