Sleep

It's amazing how I feel when I'm caught up on sleep. I think I was asleep by 9, if not earlier, on Saturday night. I know, I sound like I'm 80, not 24. I slept until around 11:30 when I realized that I still had the tv on and hadn't taken off my makeup or taken out my contacts. After stumbling to the bathroom and taking care of what was absolutely necessary before bed, I found myself sound asleep again. I woke up when my alarm started blaring at 6 (forgot to turn it off), but then went back to sleep. I dozed until I absolutely had to get up in order to make it to church on time. After church, I did some work I brought home with me on Saturday and watched some shows on my DVR. Then, big surprise, I decided another nap would be just lovely. This nap was only about an hour long--the perfect amount of time to refresh, but not interrup bedtime. Before long, it was time to go back to bed.

I did do a few things besides sleep. My laundry is done, my sheets are clean and my dishes are washed. That's about all that can be expected of me during busy season. Three more weekends until it's FINALLY over. Thank goodness I have trips home to look forward to for two of the three weekends. I know it's bad to wish the days away, but I really can't wait to have my life back and get back to doing the things that I love like cooking, reading and spending time with my family. I've had the Hunger Games for a few weeks, but I haven't had time to even crack the first page. That is definitely unusual for me!

It was so nice to wake up this morning and not feel like I've been run over by a semi. My head is clearer than it's been in weeks and I can tell that I'm just in a better frame of mind. We'll see if it lasts since I'll be back to sleep-deprivation for the rest of the week. At least I get one good day to remember that I don't always feel like I'm going to fall asleep at any moment. :)
