Target is Dangerous

I ran to Target at 10:15 last night after work. I needed some goodies for a family friend whose husband is having surgery at Vanderbilt tomorrow. I had a list of what I wanted to get for her, but, of course, the monster that is Target sucked me in and I was there when they made the announcement that the store was closing.

I only ended up with a couple of things for myself. The most exciting of my personal purchases was this... I saw so many cute floppy hats when I went to Nordstrom a couple of months ago. At the time, they caught my eye, but I didn't have time to look and let's face it--who's thinking about floppy summer hats in January? Certainly not me! After all, I'm not really a hat person anyway. I only remember wearing a hat in Boston over Christmas break my Senior year in high school. I had this faux fur hat that I decided to wear since it was snowing (Thanks to someone wishing it on me before we left. You know who you are!!)

Anyway, I've had hats on my mind since that trip to Nordstrom. I didn't seriously think about going back there to get one since I didn't want to pay their prices for something I may or may not wear. Instead I decided I would look at Target the next time I went there. Now I have my floppy hat and I'm only out $14,99. If I wear it once, it's worth it. However, since my skin is lighter than the paper I print tax returns on, I bet I will need it when I get the chance to relax by the pool at my family's condo. I've had enough sunburns to realize that I'd rather have pale skin than burned skin anyday--and my skin just turns this color again even after a sunburn.
