How is it Wednesday already? I have so much to do and so little of it has actually been done.
I always think of my third grade English teacher when I write out the word Wednesday. Apparently, most of my grade had trouble correctly spelling some days of the week and months of the year. I remember having to write sentences (I don't remember what they were exactly), but I know they featured the words "Wednesday" and "February". Somehow, I don't think of it as much when I write February, but Wednesday always brings me back to Harlan School and "Good Morning, Mrs. Carter" everytime she walked into the room. It's funny how I was so scared of her when I was in her class, but in later years we got along pretty well.
We have 27 days left before the end of busy season. I can't tell you how relieved I will be to actually go to sleep before midnight and eat a meal cooked from scratch instead of from a box. I'd really love a maid to deep clean my house right about now too since it's all I can do to keep things picked up!
I've started a list of things to look forward to for days when I'm overwhelmed at work. At the top of my list is one (or more) trip back to Florence. I'm for sure going for Palm Sunday and probably for Easter as well. Easter weekend is going to be hard enough considering where we were last year, so I really want to be with Mama, Daddy and Grandaddy. Other than trips home, I'm looking forward to making some yummy things featured in my new cookbook that finally came in the mail yesterday. I thumbed through it last night and I'm so excited to make some sweets and master baking with yeast! Martha Stewart may not have done everything right in her life, but she can cook. I've joked that it's my goal to be like her--without the prison, of course! Since I'm not very crafty, I'll stick with mastering her cookbooks!
